My sis asked where to go for dinner before sending me & my mom home. So I said it's my treat & she can decide where to go. So we ended up at Werner's Oven which is near my sis' place.

A nice treat after cycling more than 20km on Sunday.

Sunday morning, 7 Aug 2011, I awoke to the sound of heavy thunderstorm & smell of food wafting from the kitchen.
Here's my breakfast prepared by my mom & sis.
My sis was actually inspired by the "Full Works" breakfast we had at Food for Thought, and here's her take to prepare something similar.
We had rosemary focaccia bread, bratwurst, scrambled eggs with tomato & onion, not forgetting our own grinded coffee.

Microsoft on Botero

Finally got myself a wireless mouse to use with the laptop given to me from my sis. I'm really not very good "mouseless" and the most important thing is I can't play Bejeweled without my mouse.

The Botero mouse pad is also from my sis. Pink isn't really my colour but I think this this the best colour to match my mouse pad.

My sis requested for this necklace to be made before she left for Shanghai. That means I have 2 weeks to complete this before she's back.

I've stopped making accessories for quite a while and I think I've been getting rusting. But this order came at a great time because recently I've been itching to start making accessories again.

I guaranteed that the end product will definitely look better than this rough sketch.

Girl on a Swing

Girl on a Swing @ Singapore Botanic Gardens

Love the happy smile on the girl's face.

The sculpture brought back a lot of happy childhood memories I had at the playground. The swing was one of my favourite. I always competed with my sis & friends to see who can swing the highest. Back in my days, the swing were made of rubber tyres.

Nowadays, do we still have swings at HDB playgrounds? Swings seems like part of the disappearing features of modern playground with padded ground.

Water Droplets

 I was squatting by the side of the path taking the picture of these water droplets when a curious boy stopped & asked his dad about what I'm doing. So the dad said I'm taking picture. And the dad teasingly asked his son if he wants to take a picture of him drinking his milk. The boy said "No". Well, since you don't want, I won't insist.

Brown Banana

This was what happened when you put the banana in the fridge. I found this in my sis' fridge and the amazing thing was it was still edible. What esle do you put in the fridge?

2 days' of feasting, gardening & mahjong

Thong Hup Gardens

My sis wanted to get some plants for her house so while they were busy hunting for the perfect plant, I occupied myself with taking pictures of the countless plants and flowers in the garden.

The place is so big and filled with so many different types of plants that I only know the name of a handful of plants and flowers. I almost had the whole place to myself because the place is really big so even with other customers around, we won't get into each other ways.

At the end of the visit, my sis bought the things she needed and I have my pictures and the perfect way to spend my afternoon in the midst of such beautiful blooms and greenery.

African Violet

According to my sis, the African Violet we bought during Chinese New Year has been blossoming like crazy and it is actually quite easy to take care. Isn't it great to have such beautiful flowers greet you everyday when you step out of the house?

Hort Park: Part 1

We parked our car at Harbourfront Centre and took a bus to the Hort Park. You won't miss it because you will see the Alexandra Arch and the sign announcing Hort Park is directly underneath the Alexandra Arch. I prefer taking this route and enjoy the short leisure walk from the main road to the Hort Park than to drive directly to the Hort Park. Along the way, the path is shady and you can see lots of floras too. Treat this as an appetisier for more to come!

30 of Project 365: Double Happiness

This "Double Happiness" decal was pasted on the door for my sis' wedding on 23 Nov 08. Removing it would definitely mar the paint or leave an ugly stain so why not let it be. It's a good reminder of a happy occasion.

4 of Project 365: Perfect Bloom

This is one of the pictures (over 300) I took from my Sentosa Day Trip. I found this lone flower on the winding walkway leading to the Merlion Walk. My mom went "Aiyo, like that also want to take!" when she caught me bending down to capture this shot. I just flashed her my Sawpo's trademark grin and snapped away. I don't know the name of this flower, but I think it's the same as those growing on the rooftop of my sis' house.

I realised that photo taking is a physically demanding hobby. Hazardous at times when I'm all ballistic to capture a particular shot. My agility is also put to test from all the "weird" spots I have to put myself in.

Woh Woh

Meet my Woh Woh! I've had this soft toy for quite some time, so I can't recall when I bought it, but I believe it has been with me for at least 8 years or more. I've never washed it since the day I owned it because I'm afraid that the fur would become lumpy after washing. But you can see that it's still in a pretty good condition, at least in comparison to my sis' fat cat  : )
