Bio-X

Good things must share, so I thought I should share the wonder of Bio-X in a separate post since I've raved about it in one of my previous post.

This is how the product looks like. I bought two 600ml bottle from my friend (one was given to my sis but don't know if she has used it or just chuck aside somewhere). This also comes in a smaller 300ml bottle. The scent is in "Natural Lemon Fragrance" so you don't have to worry about the nasty chemical smell commonly found in insecticide. Since this can be used as a deodorizer so the smell can't be that bad.

I believe you can buy this from most supermarkets or houseware stores. I actually saw this being sold at the Prime Supermarket near my house, so I guess it should be quite easily available elsewhere, since the Prime Supermarket (the one near my house) isn't known to be the best stocked supermarket. The retail price for the 600ml bottle is $19.90, not sure about the price for the 300ml.

Thus far, I've only used it on my plants and as an insecticide, which has served me very well. I didn't try using it as a disinfectant or deodorizer because there really isn't a need for it. Moreover, I think this product is too expensive and a waste to be used as a deodorizer. I don't think my house smells that bad to warrant using a deodorizer to get rid of bad smell.

The ingredient listing is very short. The following is the composition listed:
Active ingredient: Etofenprox 1.25% (W/W) Inert ingredient 98.75%

The Last Kampong in Singapore

En route back to Sengkang Riverside Park, we stopped briefly at one of the houses belonging to a friendly Malay family, who allow us to roam around the compound & take a look at their mini oasis.

标语 (Courtesy Slogans)

在香港的地铁站,地铁车厢和巴士都可以看到这些有趣的标语,以轻松有趣的方式提醒乘客们。
在新加坡的环线,我也看到类似的标语。可是,本地的似乎缺少了幽默,而且句子也比较长。

I'm busy! Don't disturb me!

Guess what little kitty was busy doing? It was busy filing its claws on the wooden plank. It was really intent with filing its claws until my approach.

Well, maybe little kitty was really shy or on alert when strangers approached. Either way, it stopped his activity & turned to face me so I quickly take a good pic of its profile before it walked away.

Recently, I've been considering getting a pet. I think these days, the variety of pets we can keep can range from the exotic (think reptiles) to the common (your usually cats & dogs).

I'm undecided between a dog or a cat. After weighing the responsibilities to take care of a dog or cat, I'm leaning more towards getting a cat. This is because my mom would be the person spending the most time with our pet, so it should be a good companion without being too taxing on my mom.

So I'm wondering if a stray would invite itself into our house like what happened to one of my mom's friend, when one day a kitty just walked into her house & became a part of their family for more than a decade.

Elderly Friendly Country

Over the years, our government has done their part to make our environment more elderly friendly. The range of infrastructures include handle bars, ramps, lift-upgrading for HDB, subsidies for retro-fitting flats of elderly, etc.

This is the first time I see this special traffic light outside Tiong Bahru Plaza. Elderly with their EzyLink card can tap their card for longer crossing time. Since the card reader is still under wrap so I guess it's still not ready for use yet. I was quite excited to see this & was telling my mom that next time when she see such traffic light, she can tap her card so she can have more time to cross the road.

These are some of the hardware which our government can put in place to enhance our environment, but the software is still something which we have to work on.

Citizens in various estates had voiced their concerns & protested the building of elder day centers at their void decks, citing reasons like lower home values. I am for the idea of building elder care centers at void decks because if we can have child care centers, then why not elder care centers.

Les Exclusifs De Chanel

"What if we could capture time and hold it in a bottle, along with all of its treasures and promises? What if time - both past and future - was revealed from one bottle to another, until it was all held in a unique collection of fragrances? The time of CHANEL; time that comes back, if only to fly away again."

"Twelve identical bottles; twelve pure forms; luxurious simplicity: an expression of the genius of CHANEL. A collection of rare fragrances, composed in the past by Ernest Beaux - the exclusive perfume creator for Mademoiselle Chanel - and in the present by Jacques Polge - the "Master Perfumer" for the House. A way of reinvesting time and celebrating something that goes beyond fashion: the spirit of CHANEL."

Unboxing Beige from Les Exclusifs De Chanel.
Les Exclusifs De Chanel is only available at the Shoppes @ Marina Bay Sands.

This is by far the biggest bottle of perfume I owned at 200ml, but it's not the most expensive on a per ml basis. If you have read my earlier post, you would know when my love for perfume began.

It's always so pleasurable and enjoyable to shop at the flagship Chanel store at MBS because of the outstanding level of service. Shopping at the store is more than purely transactional, the Beauty Advisors would share the history & philosophy behind each product and this is where I had a taste of "going out of the way" service from the Beauty Advisors to provide the best shopping experience.

A special magnetic cap that ensures that the logo would stay align to the bottle.

Goose Attack!

I was in a squatting position taking picture of this goose, while my mom was telling me not to go too close else the goose attack me, before I knew it the goose was coming after me! This goose is fiercer than the proverbial tigress, attacking people without being provoke. The way it bare it chest reminds me of Orangutan or Chimpanzee, thumping their chests as a show of prowess or excitement.
Foie gras, anyone?

Charge Card Reader

Cool gadget! Chance upon this charge card reader on BeautyQQ's YouTube Channel. This gadget is a battery charger as shown below & also a card reader, that comes in the form of a key chain.
Here I tried charging my Sony Ericsson W995 battery which works. Though it will be slower than the USB charger that comes with the phone but this will definitely be a life saver when you don't have your charger with you.
Not sure if this can be found in Singapore since this is a gift from someone who bought it in Hong Kong for HK$25. Do keep a lookout for such gadget when you are out & about town.
