32 of Project 365: Dragonfly

All poised for take-off. I stood in the sweltering sun and dripping sweat for more than 10 mins to capture over 2 dozen pictures of this dragonfly up close. The dragonfly will always return to this particular spot every it flew off for a breather elsewhere.

ION

ION is one of my favourite shopping mall. It has a good mix of high & mid-market fashion labels, food, etc. I also like the idea of an art gallery where I can spend some time while waiting for my friends. Not forgetting my favourite brand, UNIQLO which also has an outlet at ION. I especially like the refreshing scent that lingers in the air everytime I step into the mall from the MRT station. The other important factor to consider while shopping is the toilet facilities. Thus far, I need not wait in line whenever I need to visit the loo because there are ample toilet facilities at each level.

Relax

31 of Project 365: Drying

This is a common sight in Singapore housing estates. However, for the sake of aesthetic, newer estates have modified designs which kept this out of sight.

30 of Project 365: Double Happiness

This "Double Happiness" decal was pasted on the door for my sis' wedding on 23 Nov 08. Removing it would definitely mar the paint or leave an ugly stain so why not let it be. It's a good reminder of a happy occasion.

29 of Project 365: Polish

My intention for 30 of Project 365 is to try out "Cloning" & "Painting with Light" but I didn't succeed because both required quite a fair bit of manual tuning and post-production editing. Finally gave up after more than an hour and decided to take other pictures but I seriously can't find anything to take in the house. Instead of doing spontaneous shoots of existing objects, I composed one myself and came up with this composition shot. Frankly this isn't as easy as it looked. Firstly I don't have a light-box so I have to improvish a bit, after which I played around with the different setting for exposure, colour, etc before I chose this picture.

I think my next project should be "DIY Light-Box" which I have researched on way back before I even started Project 365 but have yet to get round to it.
