290 of Project 365: 黑与白 (Black & White)

I saw this black kitty lazing on the doorstep enjoying the late afternoon sun. But the moment I squatted down to get closer, the kitty was on full alert mode.
This black kitty was a fierce one....
As I was inching closer to get a better shot, I can see that its claws were getting ready.

After "risking" my life to take the picture of the black kitty, I found a snow white kitty a few steps away.
This white kitty was an entirely different story.....
It was running away from me when it saw me following her trail. It darted into the drain to hide from my view....
Such a totally different attitude! Has the colouring got anything to do with their characters?

289 of Project 365: Lau Hong

Saw these bikes neatly & securely locked to the bike stands but on closer look, it seemed like some of  these bicycles hadn't been used for quite some time because some of the tyres had "lau hong" (gone flat). "Lau Hong" is a Hokkein, meaning leak air.

287 of Project 365: Lush

Before Lush arrived on our shore, I bought a few products from Taiwan to try out & really like the natural goodness & irresistible scent. I like how the soap bars make my bathroom smell, even when I didn't use the soap. It is the best natural air refreshener. By putting these together, my room almost smell like a Lush store :)

When I was in Hong Kong for my recent holiday, I actually smell the Lush store at the Central MTR from miles away & was led to the store by my nose. Some might find the smell overpowering, but I found that it has grown on me over time. Whenever I walked past the store (if  I can resist the temptation not to step into the store), I'll  take a deep breathe and it's uplifting effect never fail to cheer me up.

286 of Project 365: HTC One X

So many to choose from and after so many "buy iPhone lah" recommendations, I've decided to stick with HTC (Android).

Nothing to complain about my old HTC Desire HD, but it was getting old, getting slow & I'm eligible for an equipment re-contract, so why not?

No, this is not a review, you can refer to the many reviews done by pros, just sharing.....

This is my first handphone in WHITE. Yes, I've always gone for the boring & safe colours of red, black, brown, blue .....

Why not iPhone? Just not converted or used to the one button does everything hype. I still prefer the options to go back, go home, etc...... Well, never say never, always keep an open mind, who knows, iPhone 5 might convince me enough to switch. Or if someone is generous to buy me one :)))

You might have noticed a few similarities here.... Unibody design (in-built battery & memory storage), Micro SIM, a special pin to remove the Micro SIM, last but not least, everything WHITE (including the packaging) .

Bialetti Moka Express

I bought this Bialetti stove top espresso maker while holidaying in Hong Kong in late March 2012.

I found this Bialetti Moka Express at Starbucks on Duddell Street and paid HK$420. I know it's definitely not cheap & highly marked up but I still went ahead to buy it because I wouldn't know if I might still be able to find it in Singapore. And it would also mean that I have to search everywhere, high & low, for it.

These days, whenever I travel, I'll buy either a Starbucks mug or something related to coffee as souvenir. Yes, I love coffee but I don't even own a coffee machine. My gadgets are all manually operated, ranging from the coffee grinder to the coffee maker. I think it's a cheaper & pretty authentic way to enjoy my cuppa since I only engage in my coffee cooking activity on weekends.

My next target would be one of those round glass coffee drips which I used to see at Coffee Club.

My Waterway @ Punggol

This place is so out-of-the-way for me that i wouldn't have come all the way here if my sis wasn't driving.
Purpose of going to My Waterway @ Punggol was to fly kite :) Of course, as usual, I'm taking pictures.
