Sentosa Day Trip

Mom and I went to Sentosa for a day trip. I felt like a tourist and went "trigger-happy", snapping everything I see : ) We started the day early and managed to enjoy the morning sun and avoided the crowd.
Monorail from VivoCity, Sentosa Station -- Waterfront Station -- Imbiah Station -- Beach Station

First Stop: Palawan Beach to catch the "Sandy Treasures" by the acclaimed international artist, Tan Joo Heng.

Bridge linking Palawan Beach to island.

Can you see the rainbow?

Sun, sand and the beach

Second Stop: Merlion Walk

Hear me roar! Huh, what're those antenna doing on the Merlion's head?
Finally get the chance to try out the 14-45mm lens

Third Stop: Resorts World

I wonder if this globe is the same size as the one I saw at Osaka Universal Studios?

I was squatting while waiting to take the picture of this water fountain and I actually hopped in tandem to the water spraying up, hope no one saw me in action. Notice the quiet and empty surroundings? Everyone was rushing headlong to the Universal Studios, who has time for this water fountain.

Casino?! Where's the fanfare? And it's so misleading because underneath the sign are escalators leading not to the casino but to the bus bay, taxi stand, etc.

Finally, a sign that shows the way to the casino and also the toilet. Isn't this strange? Anyway, after a long winding walk, we finally reach the lifts which serve all level except G1 where the casino is located. Bummer!

Street performers entertaining the crowd at Resorts World.

Mom enjoying the street performance.

What better way to end my Sentosa Day Trip but to get myself a souvenir from the Resorts World Gift Shop. I bought this mug (in white) which cost a whopping $25, but I really like the unique design.

Edible mahjong for you? Xiao Bai really do me proud! I took this picture before the staff can stop me. I'm done by the time the staff approached me to tell me that "no photo-taking is allowed"

Home sweet home before the gathering storm close in on us.
Excluding the $25 I paid for the mug, guess how much did I spend for my Sentosa Day Trip? Only $3! $3 for the monorail ride from Vivo City to Sentosa paid using my EZlink card. And unlimited rides on the monorail, bus and tram on Sentosa, free.
