Lift to the North Observatory on the 45th floor.

There aren't that many tall buildings in Tokyo.

Second Stop: Shinjuku Gyoen

Gantry at the entrance to Shinjuku Gyoen.

This is the sight that welcomed us the moment we stepped foot into the garden. Breath taking and simply beautiful. I've never seen so many cherry blossoms in my life.

Cherry blossoms in pink, white & deep pink.

Families & friends having picnics under the cherry blossom trees.

Weeping cherry blossoms.

Shinjuku skyscrapers beyond the park.

We noticed a number of elderly drawing in the park. It's a heartening sight to see such great appreciation of the cherry blossoms.

Fallen cherry blossoms by the side of the path.

The fresh scent from the pine is simply mesmerizing. This is the first time I smell fresh pine.

Not sure if this is a rose or peony, the perfect roundness is just captivating. This is not even a full bloom, which will be fuller when it has fully blossomed.

Perfect reflection of the garden in the pond.

Youngsters playing a game of wooden puppet. The same game I played with my friends when I was young.

A water fountain in the park for people to quench their thirst & wash up.

Barren trees lining the road painted a stark contrast to the cherry blossoms we saw in the park.

Final stop for the day: Odaiba
