臭豆 (Petai)

Petai sold by Orang Asli along the road side.
As it was not in season during this time of the year, the prices are quite steep. A bunch like this can cost as much as RM 40 to 50, and we only saw a few stalls selling them. 
These petai were picked by the locals from the wilderness which taste better than the mass-farmed version we get from the market. According to my cousin, petai can be eaten raw too.
